As an artist I am drawn to to texture, color and shadow. During a photo trip through a boat repair shop in Saint Michael’s Maryland. This photo excursion offered many different creative opportunities. As I walked near this paint bench, I was struck by the way that everything just seemed to be laid out in a wonderful composition.

This image is the product of numerous shots that were later overlaid in layers and softened to give the appearance of a painted image. After all, the subject was a paint bench; why not soften it to look as though it were painted right?
